How to Hire, Manage and Pay Your New Sales Reps…

[ad_1]

In this video, Entrepreneur Network partner Jason Swenk discusses hiring, managing and paying salespeople. He also touches upon what makes a good salesperson.

Swenk explains his method for compensating sales reps. Starting at a base salary of around $45,000 to $50,000 with a tiered commission is a great way to get employees motivated when they’re first hired. It’s also important to note that it will take new employees some time to get up to speed with the company, so if this number sounds low — it isn’t.

When it comes to the characteristics of a salesperson, being money-driven, personable and knowledgeable are key — Swenk says. Asking a lot of questions is also a sign of good sales rep.
