At their newly expanded offices in Chinatown, Manhattan, Bark, the makers of the toy and treat subscription package BarkBox, like to bring their dogs to work. The three open-plan floors are dotted with fun yet functional accents for both people and canines to enjoy, resulting in an office inspired everyday by the animals they love.

Bark keeps the modern Scandinavian aesthetic of founder Henrik Werdelin consistent, with cool blues, crystal clear glass and warm woods serving as a backdrop for piles of technicolored dog toys and hand-drawn prototype sketches. Employees stay connected in the open floorplan by sitting at long “hygge”-style desks, meeting in glass breakout rooms named after Domino’s cheesy breads, and congregating around the kitchen tap that dispenses cold brew and rose on demand.

This is an office designed with inspiration in mind, from the canine comics on the walls to office sponsored dog-yoga, or “doga” sessions. Creativity to spark at anytime, anywhere, enabling the startup to keep innovating for both species of its clientele.

The playful atmosphere at Bark has been a success for both employee-pet happiness and the company itself. Click through the slideshow to take a peek inside.
